Chef Tim Rothe Jr., CC is creator and owner of Local Roots LLC. and is a native of Appleton, WI.  He was raised close to downtown Appleton and always had an interest in the outdoor gatherings we celebrate as a community from farmer's markets when they were on Washington St., to Celebrate on Lawrence University campus, to Oktoberfest. 

Cooking is an occasion to celebrate that continual aspect of community. Chef Tim Rothe Jr. has a passion for cooking and participating as an individual within our community.  Local Roots will be purchasing from your neighbors and fellow "Wisconsinites", supporting them in their rich harvests: which will in turn be enjoyed on your table.

Chef Tim is a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts.  Tim graduated with honors and participated in state and regional cooking competitions as a student. He has been in the food industry since he was fifteen.  Chef Tim is also a graduate of St. Mary's University of Minnesota and holds a Bachelor's Degree in History/Social Science. Chef Tim is currently enrolled in a plant-based nutrition certificate program with ECornell.
